It's because my girlfriend and I spent a week wheeling and dealing inflatable toys with the vendors on the beach last Christmas in Cabo, eventually ending up with our prized
Mariposa, which provided endless hours of joy, not to mention loud outbursts of laughter on both land and sea throughout the rest of our vacation.
Or is it the
Monarch Butterfly , its incredible transformation, and its implausibly long journey migrating South to the Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico and back to the Eastern United States each year, every year, like Clockwork, a journey in excess of 3,000 miles, marking each day complete after covering, on average, a mere 50 to 100 miles.
Perhaps, it is the
Butterfly Effect , “the idea that small, seemingly trivial events may ultimately result in something with much larger consequences". For instance, when a butterfly flaps its wings in India, that tiny change in air pressure could eventually cause a tornado in Iowa.
In reality, it is all of these and so, so much more. My life, my journey has been and continues to be a collection of so many incredible twists and turns, hills and valleys, mountain tops and quicksand, story lines, tragedy, lessons, miracles, failures and successes, but mostly blessings.
